About Our Religious Education Program...
Grades Pre K-6
Religious Education Classes are available for all families who are registered members of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Classes are held on a weekly basis, Wednesdays, at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM, and are available for children 4 years old (Pre K) through Grade 6.
Grades 7-8
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Grade 7 and it is a 2-year preparation program. The youth of the parish receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 8. Confirmation classes are held for both grades at 7:00 PM Wednesdays.
Who teaches the Religious Education Classes?
Parish volunteers, catechists, teach the classes for grades Pre K-8. To give the students the very best in quality catechesis - in organization and resources - these volunteers are given the opportunity to be professionally trained. The catechists are also monitored and evaluated from time to time.
What is the cost to place a child in Religious Education?
A nominal fee per student is charged for the religious education program. To download a Religious Education Registration Form, please visit the "Forms and Registrations" page, found on the left menu bar of this website.
